Welcome aboard, Danny! <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The Quad Area Chamber of Commerce is working on another <br />year of successful programming and events. Currently, <br />Chamber staff are working on a business expo, senior fair, and <br />an event that recognizes our beloved veterans. More <br />information about these events is available on the Chamber's <br />website at: Quad Area Chamber of Commerce - MN. <br />This year the Chamber will continue to work with cities in the <br />quad -area on an individual basis, however there will be a regional marketing effort added as <br />well. <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />The Committee remains focused on providing low or no -cost marketing opportunities (Center <br />Stage, Highway Signage) to support our existing businesses as we continue to navigate the <br />pandemic economy. These items have all been included in the EDA's 2022 Budget. <br />The Committee is also committed to <br />expanding marketing and beautification <br />efforts in the city, creating a welcoming <br />environment for businesses and just as <br />importantly, shoppers. <br />If you are a current Centerville business <br />in need of assistance or know of a <br />business that desires to come to <br />Centerville, please contact us at: <br />info2centervillemn.com. <br />Anoka County Regional Economic Development (ACRED) <br />ACRED will hold their strategic goal setting meeting on January 251'. The executive director <br />will be reaching out to the city for feedback on how they can best assist Centerville. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Block 7 Property (Downtown) — "Sorel Quarter" <br />Staff held a meeting on January 19, 2022 with Ms. Carla Dunham, Land Acquisition & <br />Development Manager, to discuss the possibility of providing exterior construction (siding & <br />stone) samples to the Planning & Zoning Commission so that those items could be locked in. <br />They have received the City's Application for Final Plat, a sample of the City Attorney's HOA <br />documentation for use if they desire and the will continue to work with staff regarding <br />Developer's Agreement, HOA documentation, Final Plat submittals and the needed approvals <br />from Anoka County regarding road Right of Way and CDBG requirements.
