Ord. #51, adopted 03/13/1991, Ord. amended 08/25/1993, Ord. amended 08/23/1995, Ord. amended <br />05/22/2002 <br />§ 130.17 RECORDS AND REPORTS. <br /> A copy of all applications and reports applicable to the city required by and submitted to the Minnesota <br />Charitable Gambling Control Board shall also be submitted to the city within seven days after they were <br />submitted to the Board. <br />Ord. #51, adopted 03/13/1991, Ord. amended 08/25/1993, Ord. amended 08/23/1995, Ord. amended <br />05/22/2002 <br />§ 130.18 PROFITS. <br /> Profits from the operation of gambling devices or the conduct of raffles shall be used solely for lawful <br />purposes as defined in M.S. Chapter 349, as amended, and as authorized at a regular meeting of the <br />organization. The city requires that the charitable gambling organization licensed to operate within its <br />jurisdiction contribute ten percent per year of its net profits to an established Charitable Gambling Fund of the <br />city to be expended for lawful purposes, including police, fire and other emergency public safety-related <br />services, equipment and training. However, the funds may not be used for the payments of pension obligations <br />or general city functions. A licensed organization that contributes to the ten percent fund may not be the <br />beneficiary of that fund. Not less than 40 percent of the profits from the operation of gambling or the conduct <br />of raffles earned by charitable organizations other than veteransÓ clubs shall be lawfully expended within the <br />trade area of the city, which also includes the Cities of Hugo, Lino Lakes, Blaine, Circle Pines and Lexington. <br /> <br />Ord. #51, adopted 03/13/1991, Ord. amended 08/25/1993, Ord. amended 08/23/1995, Ord. amended <br />05/22/2002 <br /> <br />§ 130.19 FEES. <br /> <br />(A) Investigation fee. <br /> <br />(1) Upon being notified by the Board of a license, the organization shall pay to the city an <br />investigation fee in an amount to be determined by the City Council in the form of a resolution. <br /> <br />(2) Failure to promptly pay the required investigation fee shall be grounds for disapproval of a <br />license. <br /> <br />(B) Permit fee. No organization may conduct a gambling event which would otherwise be allowed pursuant <br />to the exemptions set forth in M.S. § 349.214, as amended, without first securing a permit from the city <br />and paying a permit fee in an amount to be determined by the City Council in the form of a resolution. <br />252tğŭĻ <br /> <br />
