<br />City of Centerville <br />Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br />January 5, 2022 <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Chairperson Errickson-Grahek to <br />approve the minutes of the December 1, 2021 with the following corrections: (page 1) III <br />rd <br />Appearances, 3 paragraph: delete “She inquired” and add “There was discussion regarding”; <br />V. Unfinished Business, 1. add: “to exceed” between not and $1,000. Also add after project (in <br />motion) “not to exceed $1,000”; delete “Additional research was need to secure funding <br />sources/grants, etc.” and replace with “In addition, funding sources, including grant opportunities <br />will need to be researched”; VI New Business, 1. last line replace “is” with “it's”; 4. add “members <br />of the Park Board and” between “Mayor and & City Council”. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. UPDATES <br /> <br />1. Staff Updates: M. Statz <br /> <br />a. The Port-a-Pot in Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park is being heavily used, however, the unit in <br />Cornerstone has not seen much use. Evaluate for February meeting to determine if the one in Cornerstone <br />should be moved to another location. <br /> <br />th <br />b. It is anticipated that the Pleasure Rink lighting project will be completed by January 14. <br /> <br />c. Mr. Statz introduced Ms. Athanasia Lewis, Assistant City Administrator. <br /> <br />2. Council Liaison Update – Ms. Lakso - NONE <br /> <br />The City Council has scheduled their retreat for Saturday, January 22, 2022, at which time discuss goals <br />and strategic planning for the upcoming year, <br /> <br />IX. ACTION ITEMS – as of 12-1-21 & 1-5-22 <br /> <br />Items to be closed/deleted: 21-005 <br /> <br />Items to have Assigned Person, Date, Status and/or Action changed: <br />16-016 add Assistant Administrator under Assigned Person <br />19-013 add CIP under Item and to MARCH agenda <br />19-022 add to MARCH agenda <br />20-004 add Volunteer Tracking and add to FEBRUARY agenda <br />20-009 add to FEBRUARY agenda <br />21-007 add to FEBRUARY agenda <br />21-008 change date to March, 2022 and add March agenda under Action; add “begin researching <br />data as discussed in 12-1-21 P & R meeting minutes” <br />21-009 Combine with 22-003 <br /> <br />The following were added in the November minutes, but were not added to the Action Items list: <br />21-010 add to FEBRUARY agenda <br />21-011 add to FEBRUARY agenda and change to Staff <br /> <br />Items to be added as of 12-1-21: <br />21-012 Halloween Hustle Fun Run – Combine with 22-003 <br />21-013 Skate Night – January Brian Peterson FEBRUARY agenda <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
