CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />February 16, 2022 <br />EDA <br />VII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />1737 Main Street - Letter of Intent - Schifsky Development <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Mr. Brass and Mr. Statz recently met with representatives from Schifsky Development. Schifsky is interested <br />in developing the site as a mixed use building. While they do not yet have a commitment from a tenant, they <br />think the site is appealing and marketable. One thing they felt was important to the success of the site was the <br />ability to make a drive-thru work (probably for coffee). This, of course, makes parking a bit more of an issue. <br />They asked if the EDA or City would be willing to offer further incentives to help solve the parking and <br />stormwater issues that might arise from a rearrangement of the site. Rather than write these incentives into the <br />agreement, with specific offerings, we have simply referred to them, generally, meaning that we are not <br />obligated to anything additional, but also means that they would reserve the right to make those asks once they <br />have a proposal.
