City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 27, 2021 <br />Attorney Glaser advised City Council to remove the Conditional Use Permit from the motion and <br />clarify that he has authority to make small changes only to the Development Agreement. <br />Mayor Love and Council Member Koski stated they were glad this agreement is complete. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to Approve the <br />Sutton Transport Final Plat and Site Plan. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the <br />Resolution Granting the Conditional Use Permit by Sutton Transport. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. The Shores Outlot a Tax Forfeiture/Anoka County Tax Forfeit 2021 <br />Classification Property for Sale <br />Administrator Statz received a letter from Anoka County asking if Centerville wanted to purchase <br />the forfeited property. He noted City staff recommended the County take it over. <br />Council Member Lakso inquired about the designated easement on this property. Administrator <br />Statz noted this is part of the Native American Community and they do not want signage or <br />publicity regarding this piece of property. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to Communicate to <br />the County that the City is Not Interested in Purchasing the Property and Would Like the <br />County to Retain It. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Attorney Glaser further explained if the County were to sell the property, City Council does not <br />need to be notified. <br />2. Wellhead Protection Joint Powers Agreement <br />Administrator Statz explained Centerville is currently involved in a Joint Powers Agreement with <br />cities that have similar well priorities. The City is required to have a Wellhead Protection Plan. <br />The Wellhead Protection Plan includes community outreach, education and map making. He stated <br />other cities get together and add or delete the revised agreement to meet all the needs of the <br />participants. <br />Council Member King wondered the difference with this agreement. Administrator Statz stated <br />changes were minimal. He also stated cities can now join without Council approval. <br />Council Member Koski wondered if there was an annual fee and if so, who pays that. <br />Administrator Statz believes there is no an annual fee to be a part of this group. Council Member <br />Mosher noted an annual report would be helpful and informative. <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />
