Max Storage (Fairview Street) A public hearing was held on February 1 to review an application for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to operate what is being termed a "Maxi Storage" facility. The proposed development would consist of 2 buildings, each with 8 for -lease units which would include a large overhead door, and enough space (50' x 208') to house equipment for small contractors working in the trades. The heated units may also be available for rental to store personal items, such as RVs, boats and other large equipment. The Planning and Zoning Commission had a number of comments and questions for the applicants to address, including landscaping, operational and building code issues. The public hearing for the project has been left open to allow for further public comment. The US Treasury has now finalized their guidance on lost revenue, which provides a flat amount for recovery by each city, which is well above Centerville's allotment. If funds are allocated for lost revenue, they must simply be spent on general government expenses. Council has not made formal commitments yet. Annual Audit The city's Auditors will be engaging with city staff and elected official in mid -March this year to complete our annual audit. This process ensures the city's policies and procedures are operating properly and that the city's finances are in good standing.
