CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />March 9, 2022 <br />P & R <br />VIII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Request for Use of Trails - Shake Your Shamrock 5/7K, 3/19/2022 <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The Parks & Recreation Committee met on March 2, 2022 where this items was placed before them for consideration. A motion was <br />made to recommend approval by Council, with the conditions of staff <br />Midwest Multisport Races, LLC has submitted, for this years' and several previous years, an Application for Special Event associated <br />with the Shake Your Shamrock 5/7K Runs Sponsored by Kelly's Korner. <br />Staff recommended granting of said application be conditioned upon the following: No permanent markings on Trails/Sidewalks or <br />property. No maintenance of said Trails/Sidewalks of intended use will receive maintenance above and beyond regular maintenance <br />of our Public Works Department or Anoka County for this event. (If a snow event occurs on the weekend, maintenance will not be <br />provided.
