CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: March 9, 2022 P & R VII.5 TITLE OF ISSUE: Request for Ballfield Maintenance - Centerville Lions BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The Parks & Recreation Committee met on March 2, 2022 where this items was placed before them for consideration. A motion was made, unanimously, to recommend approval to Council to accept the bid from Bryan Rock for 150 tons of ag lime in the amount of $5,100. At the P.W. Director's discretion, the repairs will be made to the baseball backstop at a later date. As part of the Committee's motion, they acknowledged that all maintenance repairs were to be completed at the discretion of the P.W. Director. Parks & Rec. also recommended that the P.W. Director forward a letter to the Centerville Lions with an accounting of repairs, addressing the issues associated with bases (securing of same) and irrigation/drainage. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: $5,100 for ag lime - Park Maintenance REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to Approve the Bid from Bryan Rock for 150 Tons in the amount of $5,100 with installation by P.W. staff. P.W. Director will forward a letter to the Centerville Lions summarizing the repairs made and addressing any additional concerns.
