COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION #22-0&,, _ <br />APPROVING DONATION TO ANOKA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETEY <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Historical Society (ACHS) signed a memorandum of <br />understanding with the city of Centerville in May of 2021 accepting the responsibility for <br />maintaining and curating the contents of the display case at City Hall; and, <br />WHEREAS, the contents of the display case reflect archaeological and historical items <br />loaned to the city by members of the community, for a period of four to six months, with the <br />intended purpose of preserving local history; and, <br />WHEREAS, there is no direct cost to the city for ongoing work being done by ACHS, <br />other than reimbursable expenses for display hardware; and, <br />WHEREAS, the city is not currently a member of the Anoka County Historical Society; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Centerville would like to make a donation to Anoka County <br />Historical Society; and, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the city of Centerville by and through <br />its City Council, hereby authorizes the approval of a donation to the Anoka County Historical <br />Society in the amount of $500.00 to be paid from the General Fund; and, <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the City Administrator, or their designee, is authorized to <br />execute on behalf of the city/town, any documents necessary to effectuate this decision to <br />approve a donation to the Anoka County Historical Society. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville this 23rd day of March, 2022. <br />- - - - ---- --------- - - <br />D.
