Speed Networking Event <br />The Quad Area Chamber hosted a speed networking <br />event at St. Mark's Church in Circle Pines and there <br />were approximately twenty (20) people who attended. <br />Representatives of businesses from Centerville, Lino <br />Lakes, and Forest Lake attended. A few of the <br />businesses that were represented include Hampton Inn <br />& Suites, Express Employment Services, the <br />Department of Corrections, Marketeers, and Toast Masters (Lino Lakes). This was a successful <br />event! Look for future events like this on a quarterly basis. <br />Beyond the Yellow Ribbon <br />City staff and the Quad Area Chamber met to discuss ways to enhance veterans � <br />programs for Centerville residents. There were a lot of ideas generated, and a <br />follow-up discussion will take place in the next couple of weeks. <br />Anoka County Regional Economic Development (ACRED). <br />While there is no formal update from ACRED, the EDA talked about their role <br />at the PGA/3M open in July. This is a hugely popular event. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Block 7 Property (Downtown) — "Sorel Quarter" <br />Centra Homes and city staff met on March 18 to discuss the county's request for additional <br />right-of-way along the west side of Centerville Road.
