CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: April 13, 2022 Parks and Recreation IX.3 TITLE OF ISSUE: Request for Proposals - Preferred Emerald Ash Borer Injection Treatment Provider-Tree Service BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Following resident inquiry and a discussion at Council, staff completed research regarding programs offered by neighboring cities. The Cities of Lino Lakes and Anoka both offer to their residents a preferred vendor that the City has received proposals from for reduced rates associated with treatment of infected trees. Mr. Frevel appeared before the Parks & Recreation Committee at their April meeting and presented a large amount of information regarding the infestation and potential devastation of a large amount of Ash trees in Centerville. Mr. Frevel would like educational information forwarded to residents along with treatment options.
