CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br /> , 2022 <br />EDA <br />VII. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Downtown Building Condition Assessment - CDBG/HOME Grant Application <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> reviewed a proposal for a building condition assessment as part of a strategy to <br />rehab various apartment units in the downtown area on the second floor of mixed use buildings (retail/bar/ <br />restaurant below). An abundance of funds for this type of work are available if the units are rented to people <br />meeting certain affordability requirements. These funds are administered through Anoka County's Housing <br />and Redevelopment Authority (HRA), and come via the CDBG and HOME programs. <br />With the end goal of the assessment being to gauge the feasibility of the project, the consultant <br />lower fee to perform a very basic walk-thru analysis before moving to a more refined cost estimate.
