CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR ACTION Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: April 20, 2022 EDA V.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: EDA Appointment BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Last year, the city received a resignation from an EDA commissioner for an unexpired three-year term, creating a board vacancy through July 30, 2021. The EDA interviewed candidates at their January 2021 meeting, and unanimously selected Mark Remillard to fill the unexpired term, along with an additional six years as outlined in the EDA by-laws. Commissioner Remillard was sworn into office last February; however, a resolution appointing him to the EDA was not passed by council at that time. Councilapprove resolution appointing Mr. Remillard to the EDA, with his term expiring July 30, 2027. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: No cost REQUESTED ACTION: Motion to Appointment of Mark Remillard to the EDA.
