CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Centerviffe <br />Agenda Item # <br />Department: <br />Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />V.l <br />Engineering/Public Works <br />April 27, 2022 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Annual Public Input Meeting on the City's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Program <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Each year, as part of the requirements of the City's National Pollution Discharge Elimination System/State <br />Disposal System (SDS) Permit, we must provide at least one event where opportunity is given to the public to <br />provide input on the city's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) program. The city has traditionally <br />held a public hearing at a City Council meeting to fulfill this obligation, with notice of the hearing being <br />published in the city's official newspaper as it would be for any other public hearing. Again this year, we are <br />doing the same. <br />Staff will present information on the city's SWPPP. The Council should, then, open the public hearing and <br />receive input from anyone wishing to speak. <br />COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br />Minor publication costs - Stormwater Utility <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Open a public hearing. Take community input.
