COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Project Map <br />Staff has prepared a map of all active developments to help everyone get a better picture of <br />what’s happening around our community. The number you see at the heading of each item in <br />this section corresponds to a number on the map, which is attached to the end of this report. <br />(9) Block 7 Property (Downtown) – “Sorel Quarter” <br />An application for final plat has been received. As the developer and city staff continue work <br />on a developer’s agreement, we anticipate the council being able to consider approval of <br />everything at its May 25, 2022 meeting. <br />Centerville Elementary School Expansion <br />School staff and consultants were able to find a work-around to solve some supply chain issues. <br />The work in the building is nearing completion and should receive their certificate of <br />occupancy soon. <br />stnd <br />(3)(4) Old Mill Estates 1 and 2 Additions <br />A Letter of Credit reduction was granted at the last City Council meeting. The city still retains <br />more than $80,000 in a letter of credit as well as a 2-year warranty bond on the public <br />improvements. <br />The City is in discussion with the homeowner near the cul-de-sac on Old Mill Court, exploring <br />alternative routes for the trail. The city will continue to hold security for the completion of the <br />trail until this process plays out and the trail link is completed. Staff recently re-engaged with <br />a contractor who provided the lowest preliminary estimate for the work and will firm up a <br />quote from them to see if the project is feasible within the homeowner’s budget. <br />th <br />(16) Centerville Storage (20Ave. Mini Storage) <br />The mini storage has been given the go-ahead to open its doors. Look for a grand opening <br />soon. A few minor punch list items remain <br />(1) Bay View Villas (Waterworks Site) <br />The vast majority of the project work is now done. Some lakeshore plantings and final <br />landscaping items remain. Mailboxes are now in and the pond has been dredged to final grade. <br />(8) Atlas Villas Memory Care Project (1825 Main Street) <br />The developer advised that they are completing interior finishes in about 3 weeks and opening for <br />business around June 1st. <br />(10-14) Rehbein Commercial <br />st <br />Sidewalk work along 21 Avenue has begun. Other remaining work on the project will follow <br />in the coming weeks, including trail construction, finish grading and boulevard sodding. <br />(13) Kwik Trip <br />Staff has been working with Kwik Trip’s staff to get securities and other agreements in place. <br />The owner has communicated that construction could begin by mid-summer, 2022. <br />Recently, the site’s engineer finalized plans for the right turn lane to be constructed on Main <br />Street on the south side of the store and obtained signatures from both the City and County <br />thst <br />Engineers. With this work, the sidewalk from 20 to 21 Avenues on the north side of Main <br /> <br />
