Guggenberger, Anoka County Assessor. Two (2) Council Members are trained to execute the <br />City’s Board requirements. Several modifications to value had been recommended by the <br />Assessors consisting of incorrect building data for valuations of new homes, and three (3) being <br />that the valuations were changed following physical inspections of the homes. Several other <br />property owners had questions regarding their increased values, with the assessors continuing <br />to work on them and four (4) individuals appeared that evening to appeal. One (1) of the <br />individuals was looking for additional information and corrected revised statements, one (1) <br />individual worked closely with Ms. Wells and a reduction was realized due to corrections being <br />made in data and the other (2) had concerns not regarding valuations, but for taxes increasing <br />and the Homestead Credit deductions. <br /> <br />Website Re-design with CivicPlus <br />th <br />After the original contract with CivicPlus was approved by council on March 9, CivicPlus <br />reached out to staff to communicate that a couple of terms were missing from the contract; <br />inclusion of these changes prompted the need for a contract revision, and approval from city <br />council. The contract that the city initially received is one that CivicPlus provides clients at the <br />time of renewal. CivicPlus’s Master Services Agreement was not included in the original <br />contract. The city attorney and the legal team from CivicPlus are working through the revised <br />contract, and staff anticipates bringing this item back to council for their consideration in the <br />near future. <br /> <br />Meeting and City Hall Schedule <br /> April 27, 2022 6:30 p.m. – City Council Meeting <br /> May 18, 2022, 2022 6:30 p.m. – Economic Development Authority <br /> May 3, 2022, 6:30 p.m. - Planning & Zoning Commission meeting <br /> May 4, 2022, 6:30 p.m. – Parks & Recreation Committee meeting <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ACRED - Samantha Markman from the Anoka County Regional Economic Development <br />Department (ACRED) has tendered her resignation because she has accepted a position as a <br />Corporate Economic Development Manager with Xcel Energy. Her last day will be May 13. <br />The vacancy created by Sam's departure will be posted in the near future. <br /> <br />Hugo Area Business Association (HBA) - The HBA held their <br />monthly meeting on April 12th, and reported that they had a <br />very successful Easter Egg Hunt with 800 kids participating. <br />They received a lot of support from businesses. <br /> <br />Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />th <br /> Senior Wellness Day & Expo – May 19 – 10 – 2 St. Genevieve’s <br /> Business Expos <br />o Centerville Fete des Lacs – July 12-17 <br />o Lino Lakes Blue Heron Days – August 18, 19, 20 <br />o Lexington Fall Fest – September <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA) – the EDA held their regularly scheduled meeting <br />th <br />on April 20.
