<br />Approved <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />WORK SESSION & CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 23, 2022 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City <br />Council Work Session and City Council meeting on March 23, 2022 in Council Chambers of City <br />Hall and the meeting was also live streamed by North Metro TV. <br /> <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Love called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Steve King <br />Council Member Russ Koski (Via Zoom) <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Jr. Council Member Danny Peterson (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> Assistant City Administrator Athanasia Lewis <br /> City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br /> <br /> <br />II. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. 2022 Draft Council Strategic Plan <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on the 2022 Draft Council Strategic Plan. The goals in the Draft Council <br />Strategic Plan emphasizes: Economic Development, Organizational Resilience, and Community <br />Building. Points of interest include evaluating population 5,000, developing visual materials for <br />reference during discussions surrounding development, re-examining allowed uses in B1 and B2 <br />Zoning districts, promoting businesses and community events, promoting our history, expanding <br />veterans programs, branding/rebranding, increased reporting of key data points, transparency, <br />expanding educational opportunities for council and the community, succession planning, staff <br />retention (internally and in our police and fire departments). Staff will revise the draft plan and <br />present it to council at an upcoming council meeting. <br /> <br />2. Capital Projects Funding Plan <br /> <br />The item was introduced by Administrator Statz, however the council did not have time for <br />discussion before the regular meeting convened. The item will be discussed at an upcoming council <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
