City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 13, 2022 <br /> <br />of the parks, Earth Day Cleanup, Project Banjo, Roles with Main Street Market and <br />Fete des Lacs, Race Coordinator, bicycle rack donation and port-a-pot contract for <br />2022. He also reported that Staff’s intent is to have the Committee consider a <br />Strategic Plan similar to Council’s taking into consideration the following (i.e. <br />Revenue/Budget, Goals/Priorities/Equity/ADA, Council’s Plan, Equipment <br />General Fund and Park Dedication Capital Improvement Plan. Council Member <br />Lakso stated that the Committee reviewed Council’s plan and will align theirs with <br />Council’s including similar format for cohesiveness. <br /> <br /> Parks & Recreation – Council Member Lakso gave no report. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member Lakso gave no <br />report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – Council Member Koski stated that property values, tax levy, etc. are very <br />complicated processes and he appreciates those who appeared this evening. He <br />also stated that the public can discuss taxes with their Council Members, State <br />Representatives, School Board Members and other avenues to gain education and <br />to provide input to those that make these very difficult decisions. <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that <br />discussion was had regarding Project Banjo in preparation for the upcoming <br />Public Hearing. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that the next <br />meeting of the Committee would be a joint meeting where all would be <br />learning how the process will work in choosing a new Chief. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski gave praise to Mayor Love for all that he does for <br />the City including being the President of the League of Minnesota Cities in <br />2021-2022 and representing the City well. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski stated that recently the City adopted a Resolution <br />in Support of Mental Health Issues for Public Safety Staff supporting them <br />through their journey for recovery and return to work. He stated that <br />recently a Roseville Officer was shot in the face while on duty who is close <br />to his family. He stated that the officer is recovering, thanked those who <br />provided prayers and thanks individuals serving, front line, for the duties <br />they provide to the public. <br /> <br />c. King - <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member King gave no <br />report due to his absence. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member King gave no report due to <br />his absence. <br /> <br />d.
