PARKS AND RECREATION
Committee Seat Available
A vacant seat remains on the CityÓs Parks and Recreation Committee. Please call City Hall or
email info@centervillemn.com if interested.

Summer in Centerville
This summer, look for signs around town with QR codes directing you to all the latest info on
our parks programming.

Emerald Ash Borer
The Parks and Rec Committee has been looking into ways in which the cityÓs parks will be
affected by the Emerald Ash Borer and is preparing to stay on top of issues as they arise.

Strategic Plan
The Parks and Rec Committee continues work on its strategic plan. If youÓd like to give input,
we are always happy to receive your thoughts. Just give us a call or email us at
info@centervillemn.com

LaMotte Park Ballfield Repairs
The ballfields at LaMotte Park are now back in service and being used by the youth leagues,
after some repair work. Some additional work will be done in the fall when the weather and
usage is better suited for the task.

ADMINISTRATION
History Niche
A history niche was added as part of the city hall renovations done in 2021. The history niche
is located on the back wall in the city council chambers. The city and the Anoka County
Historical Society (ACHS) signed a memorandum of understanding, thereby granting ACHS
the responsibility of maintaining and curating the display case on an ongoing basis. The
display case is changed every four to six months. The current display features the early history
of Centerville. If you have not already done so, please stop by to see the exhibit.

The Early History of Centerville
Exhibit made possible by generous donations from the Melvin & Joyce Dupre Family
