The city of Centerville has been designated a Heart Safe Community! Heart Safe designation recognizes a community's efforts to prepare its staff and citizens to recognize when someone suffers a sudden cardiac arrest and how to respond. Any municipality, county or organization in Minnesota can apply for the Heart Safe designation from the Minnesota Department of Health and American Heart Association. Centennial Lakes Police Department May 11 Î May 17 is known as National Police Week. According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, there have been a total of 105 Line of Duty Deaths so far in 2022. We are thankful and would like to honor the women and men that serve, and also those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you! An excerpt from President BidenÓs Proclamation for Police Week follows: ÐNOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 15, 2022, as Peace Officers Memorial Day and May 15 through May 21, 2022, as Police Week. I call upon all Americans to observe these events with appropriate ceremonies and activities and salute our NationÓs brave law enforcement officers and remember their peace officer brothers and sisters who have given their last full measure of devotion in the line of duty. I also call on the Governors of the United States and its Territories, and appropriate officials of all units of government, to direct that the flag be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day. I further encourage all Americans to display the flag at half-staff from their homes and businesses on that day.
