CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />June 7, 2022 <br />Planning and Zoning <br />VII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Emerald Ash Borer - Ordinance Review <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has now begun affecting Centerville, several citizens have expressed concerns <br />about the city's ability to compel neighbors to remove diseased trees, siting safety concerns. <br />The city's current nuisance ordinance has some language which could be used, but some additional specificity <br />may be prudent. <br />The city's attorney recently helped the city of Lexington revise their ordinances to address this issue.
