CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />June 8, 2022 <br />City Attorney <br />IX.3 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Amazon Development - Maintenance Agreement and Revised Development Agreement <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> - Maintenance Agreement: The City is telling Rice Creek that it will perpetually maintain a culvert for Rice <br />Creek. This is related to the Amazon development and other property owners in the vicinity. It is the City's <br />mission and duty to maintain public infrastructure like this culvert. <br /> - Revised Development Agreement: (SEE, Paragraph 26J, marked changes in the document) This important <br />revision asks the City to grant Amazon the future right to construct infrastructure in easements they just gave to <br />the City. The City is giving them permission now because the location of these private sewers is still being <br />planned.
