Community Emergency Response Team <br />2021 <br />CERTis a well-trained and highly motivated group of <br />th <br />volunteers from the Centennial Lakes community. Using a <br />marks the 13year <br />standardized national training curriculum, team members <br />that the <br />wereprepared and available to support police and other first <br />Community Emergency <br />responders in the event of an emergency. Within that <br />Response Team <br />curriculum, team members learn basic medical operations, <br />personal safety and a variety of other important skills that are <br />(CERT) <br />tice. Team members are a critical <br />has been part of the <br />component to a strong emergency management program <br />Centennial Lakes <br />and are the basis for an effective and comprehensive <br />Police Department!community disaster response. <br />Key activities of 2021 included; <br />-Program coordinator Officer Haley Linder organized a <br />new round of training and put together a campaign to <br />recruit new members. The coursework and instructors <br />are prepared and ready for when a full classcan be <br />recruited. <br />-This year the Centennial Lakes CERT program made <br />some excellent connections with other area programs. <br />Officer Linder was invited to sit in on CERT events hosted <br />by a neighboring community and make some great <br />connections while learning some new ideas for the CLPD <br />program. <br />-Over the years the CERT program has accumulated <br />numerous supplies to support training and equip team <br />members.
