<br />City of Centerville <br />Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br />April 6, 2022 <br /> <br />8. Role of P & R Committee with Fete des Lacs <br />Administrator Statz has recommended that a Committee member attend all Fete des Lacs meetings in an <br />attempt to report back to the Committee the status of planning events, volunteers, etc. He is looking for <br />direction from the Committee as to their desire in becoming more active in planning events, volunteering <br />at events, taking on additional roles, etc. <br /> <br />9. Race Coordinator Quotes <br />To date, the City has not found an interested candidate to perform the functions of a Race Coordinator <br />for the Fete des Lacs Annual 5k/8k runs. Running Ventures and Anderson Race Management have <br />submitted quotes with various options for services above what has been provided in the past. Their <br />minimum fee is about $1,500 for some basic services. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Errickson- <br />Grahek to set a budget, not to exceed $2,000 for registration, setting up course, results, etc. and <br />allow staff to determine which vendor will be utilized. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Kubat <br />to set budget, not to exceed $1,000 to certify the race courses which would be valid for 10 years if <br />no changes. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. 2020/2021/2022 Revenue/Budgets <br /> a. Committee (Fund #45200) <br /> b. Programs (Fund #45201) <br /> c. Maintenance (Fund #45202) <br /> <br />11. Comprehensive Plan – P & R section <br /> a. 19-013: CIP (Goals/Priorities/Equity/ADA) <br /> <br />12. 22-008: Monument/Donation Policy (Blum/Dupre Tree Donation) <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Kubat, seconded by Committee Member Peterson to table <br />VI. New Business Items #10, 11 and 12 of VI. New Business to a Work Session scheduled for <br />Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />13. Accept Anonymous Donation of 6-Place Bicycle Rack <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Akpan <br />to accept the donation of a 6-Place Bicycle Rack to be installed in Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />14. Recommendation to accept Annual Port-A-Pots Contract. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Akpan, seconded by Committee Member Freiermuth to <br />recommend to City Council to accept the Air Fresh contract for the Port-A-Pots for 1 year.
