City of Centerville <br />Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes <br />June 1, 2022 <br />ACRC/ARRL Field Days, 2022, which is open to the public, at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Logo Contest Î Fete des Lacs <br /> <br />Chairperson Errickson-Grahek reported that the Subcommittee just completed the review of all entries <br />received from Centerville Elementary and Centennial Middle School students who submitted entries and <br />stnd <br />chose six (6) winners. Three (3) from the Elementary School (Audrey R., 1 Place, Summer D., 2 Place <br />st <br />and Shubael G., Honorable Mention) and three (3) from the Middle School (Makena L., 1 Place, Brooke <br />ndst <br />R., 2 Place and Gwenevere B. Honorable Mention). It was stated that each 1 Place winner would <br />nd <br />receive $100 and their logo on the fliers and T-Shirts, each 2 Place winner would receive $50 and each <br />Honorable Mention would receive $25. <br /> <br />Mayor Love presented the winners with their checks, letters and certificates on June 7, 2022. <br /> <br />VII. APPROVAL OF P & R MINUTES <br /> <br />1. April 6, 2022 Meeting Minutes <br />2. May 4, 2022 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Peterson to approve <br />both the April 6, 2022 and the May 4, 2022 meeting minutes with the same correction in each: <br />change ÐevaluatedÑ/ÑevaluateÑ to ÐreviewedÑ/ÑreviewÑ under Unfinished Business. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. UPDATES/ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />All items except number four (4) are tabled to the July meeting. <br /> <br />1. Staff <br />2. Community Ed/EDA Visit Sub Committee <br /> <br />Committee Member Akpan stated that he had attended an Economic Development meeting recently <br />where he discussed the Community Education/P & R event for Trunk or Treat in the Centerville <br />Elementary parking lot. The members of the EDA are willing to subsidize the purchase of candy and <br />will support the efforts of Parks & Recreation during this event. They would also like to get local <br />businesses involved. <br /> <br />5. No Mow May Î Sub Committee Î Seeley & Errickson-Grahek <br /> <br />IX.
