Ordinance XX 12-22-2021 <br />(K)(M)Driveway access. \[as in current ordinance\] <br />(L)(N)Permitted driveways for residential uses. \[as in current ordinance\] <br />Section 65.Thatnew Sections 156.166(NO)and (P) shall be revised and reordered <br />added and current item (N) in that section be reordered to item (Q), to read as <br />follows: <br />(L)Permitted vehicles and equipment stored on residential lots. The permitted <br />vehicles and equipment allowed to be stored outside of a structure on <br />residential lots consist of three categories and two sizes: <br />a.Passenger vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and vans, as defined in <br />Minnesota Statutes 169.011, provided they are registered and <br />operable and which are “small” as defined herein; <br />b.Other vehicles, such as snowmobiles, campers, recreational <br />vehicles, travel trailers, campers, motor homes, boats, personal <br />watercraft and similar, which may be either “small” or “large” as <br />defined herein; <br />c.Equipment, such as trailers, construction equipment, skid steers, <br />icehouses, fishhouses, and similar, and which are “small” as defined <br />herein; <br />d.Small units. Small units referred to in this section shall have an overall <br />length from front to back of no more than 25 feet, an overall height of <br />no more than 8 feet, and be no more than 14,000 pounds gross vehicle <br />weight, corresponding to Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles. Small units may be <br />for personal or commercial use; <br />e.Large units. Large units referred to in this section shall have an overall <br />length of no more than 40 feet, an overall height of no more than 13 <br />feet, and be no more than 19,500 pounds gross vehicle weight, <br />corresponding to Class 4 and 5 vehicles. Anything longer, taller, or <br />heavier than these maximums is not allowed to be stored outside on <br />residential property. Large units must be for personal use only; no <br />large commercial units are allowed to be stored outside on residential <br />property. <br />f.Vehicles or equipment loaded on a trailer shall not count as separate <br />units under this provision, but rather the trailer shall count as one <br />unit. The trailer when loaded must meet the size requirements of a <br />“small” unit as defined herein; <br />DRAFT Page 7of4 <br /> <br />
