This is one event that thanks those individuals <br />that give of themselves to make Centerville great throughout the year and a wonderful place to <br />live, (Fete des Lacs, park monument flower beds, Main Street Market, Music in the Park, serving <br />on a Committee/Commission and Council). <br /> <br />Emerald Ash Borer <br />Several trees have been treated by Rainbow Tree Service within <br />the City and its local parks as a way to slow the spread of the <br />bug and providing time for diversification of types of trees for <br />replacement and strategic planning. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Elections <br />Absentee voting is taking place currently for the August 9, 2022 Primary (this is <br />also called early voting). The Primary Election narrows the field of candidates <br />that will be on the November ballot for the General Election. The State Partisan <br />Primary Ballot has candidates for State Offices (Governor & Lieutenant <br />Governor, Secretary of State and Attorney General). Four parties (Grassroots- <br />Legalize Cannabis Party, Legal Marijuana Now Party, Republic Party and the Democratic-Farmer- <br />Labor Party) have all put forward candidates. On this side of the ballot you must stay within the same <br />party while voting for candidates. On the back side of the ballot are County Offices (County <br />Commissioner, District 3 and County Sheriff). This is the nonpartisan portion of the ballot which do <br />not carry the same rules regarding parties. On Tuesday, August 2, 2022 Direct Balloting begins (7:30 <br />a.m. Î 4 p.m. (M-F)) and it will end on August 8, 2022 at 5 p.m. City Hall will also be open for this <br />type of voting on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you desire to cast a ballot during <br />this time, you will complete an application, be given a ballot for voting here at City Hall and you will <br /> <br />
