Anoka County Food Shelves are available to Anoka County
residents in need.
Update 7/5/2022: Due to COVID-19, many food shelves are
still offering pre-packed food boxes at this time. Some food
shelves may have modified services and hours, or they may
have temporarily closed. PLEASE CALL AHEAD. Some sites
have border restrictions and days/hours are subject to
change. Please click on the link below for locations to food
shelves: https://www.anokacounty.us/3416/Food-Shelves.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Economic Development Authority (EDA)
The EDA met this week and approved revisions to its CenterStage program, a program that promotes
local businesses. The CenterStage program covers advertising costs (up to four ads in the local
newspaper) for new businesses and businesses that have not participated in the program before; social
media blasts are also included. Please call city hall at 651-792-7936 to participate in or learn more
about the CenterStage program.

The EDA also approved their 2023 budget, and began discussing their annual business appreciation
event, which will take place in September.

Anoka County Regional Economic Development (ACRED) is hosting a hospitality tent and
promoting the county for business development during the PGA/3M Open this week. Our public
safety crews have been on-site all week helping out during this event.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public Safety Night was held at Fete des Lacs and residents
had the opportunity to interact with police and fire
department staff, meet our K-9 officer, and view our fleet.
The event also highlighted our first responder partners, M
Health (Ambulance) and LifeLink (Air Ambulance).
Finally, the local Scouts BSA
were on hand to help folks make
first-aid kits. This was a super
fun event for everyone.
