BODY BRANDING. Impression or burning a mark or figure on the skin of a person with a hot object or <br />flame. <br />BODY PIERCING. Any method of puncturing the skin of a person by the aid of needles or other <br />instruments designed or used to puncture the skin for the purpose of inserting jewelry or other objects in <br />or through the human body. <br /> <br />CLEAN. The absence of dirt, grease, rubbish, garbage odor and other offensive, unsightly or extraneous <br />matter. <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT OFFICE. The City Health Authority or other designee of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />GOOD REPAIR. Free of corrosion, breaks, cracks, chips, pitting, excessive wear and tear, leaks, <br />obstructions and similar defects so as to constitute a good and sound condition. <br /> <br />ISSUING AUTHORITY. The City Council. <br /> <br />TATTOO, BODY PIERCING, PERMANENT COSMETIC MAKE-UP, BODY BRANDING AND <br />BODY PAINTING LICENSE. A license issued by the city authorizing the practice or administering of <br />the operation of tattoo, body piercing, permanent cosmetic make-up, body branding and body painting <br />establishments on premises within the city. <br /> <br />TATTOOING. The marking of the skin of a person by insertion of permanent colors by introducing <br />them through puncture of the skin. <br /> <br />Ord. #71, adopted 11/13/2002 <br /> <br />§ 114.03 LICENSE REQUIRED. <br /> <br />(A) A license shall be required to operate an establishment where tattooing, permanent cosmetic make-up, <br />body piercing, body branding or body painting is practiced, or engaged in the practice of tattooing, body <br />piercing, body branding or body painting without a license. <br /> <br />(B) A state-licensed physician who engages in the practice of tattooing and/or body piercing shall be exempt <br />from the license requirement. <br /> <br />(C) Beauty salons, jewelry stores and accessory stores that provide exclusively ear piercing services also <br />shall be exempt from the license requirement. <br />Penalty, see § 114.99 <br /> <br />Ord. #71, adopted 11/13/2002 <br /> <br />§ 114.04 LICENSE APPLICATION. <br /> <br />188΋tğŭĻ <br /> <br />
