<br />City of Centerville <br />Parks & Recreation Meeting Minutes <br />July 6, 2022 <br />c. Certificates of Recognition – The Committee discussed the amount of Certificates that <br />were not retrieved by the volunteers the previous year, cost, etc. Discussion ensued <br />regarding the possibility of Thank You Cards instead. The Committee requested a sample <br />be included in their next packet for consideration. <br />d. Location – The Committee chose to hold the event at Hidden Spring Park with possible <br />rain locations be at the Centennial Fire District, Station #3, St. Genevieve’s Community <br />Parish Center, Centerville Elementary or Eagle Brook Church offices. <br />e. Thank You Items – Staff reported that items had been purchased (water bottles and lip <br />balm with the Parks & Recreation logo had been purchased and displayed before them for <br />visual inspection. <br /> <br />2. Chain of Lakes Rotary, Walk Club (https://chainoflakesrotary.com/) – Info. & Potential for <br />Collaboration <br /> <br />This item was previously discussed. <br /> <br />3. EDA Swag Bags – P & R Inclusion of Items (Chapstick, Qty. 150 @ $242.38) <br /> <br />Staff reported that the Economic Development Authority (EDA) annually distributes Swag Bags during <br />the Fete des Lacs week at Music in the Park and with the Chair’s approval, a purchase was made of 150 <br />Soy-based, P & R Logo wrapped, Lip Balm in the amount of $242.38 would be included in them. <br /> <br />4. Purchase of Member Identification Items (Hats, Qty. 10 @ $215.10 & Shirts, Qty. 10 <br /> <br />Staff stated that an order for 10 hats at the cost of $215.10 had been placed and received. Chair Errickson- <br />Grahek distributed one (1) each to members that were present. Staff also stated that 10 shirts would be <br />ordered in the near future. It was reported that authorization was given by Administrator Statz for said <br />purchases with a total for both items not to exceed $500. It was stated that the items would display the <br />Committee’s logo so the members would be easily distinguished at events. <br /> <br />5. Blanket Inventory Usage <br /> <br />Staff reported that there were approximately 80 blankets remaining from last year’s purchase of Volunteer <br />Appreciation Items. Discussion ensued regarding distribution of the items at park events this year with <br />consensus to do so. <br /> <br />6. Amendment to City of Centerville Permit – Bald Eagle Water Ski Club <br /> <br />Staff reported that several requests had been received from a representative of the Bald Eagle Water Ski <br />Club recently. It was stated that the Club had requested (in 2021) and received permission to install a <br />boat lift alongside of the existing dock and that they desired formal approval to take place in 2022. It <br />was also stated that they have requested permission to sell club merchandise and to provide pre-packaged <br />items to their attendees during their performances/shows. <br /> <br />Staff reviewed their existing agreement with the City and determined that language was outdated within <br />the agreement and that the agreement did not include the items that they were requesting. Staff provided <br />the Committee with a draft of an Amended Permit for review.
