CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />August 10, 2022 <br />Administration <br />I <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Alternative Trail Design - Old Mill Estates <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />Some time ago, the Council discussed the possibility of moving a portion of the planned bituminous trail <br />adjacent to 1844 Old Mill Court to a boardwalk that would run through the wetland and pull the trail away from <br />the home to enhance privacy. After researching and pricing out the boardwalk option, it became clear that it <br />would be cost-prohibitive. The homeowner is now proposing to move the retaining wall about 4 to 5 feet, right <br />at the edge of the wetland, again with the goal of pulling the trail further from the home. In addition, the <br />homeowner would like the council to consider narrowing the trail for additional separation.
