CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: August 10, 2022 Administration/Engineering IX.3 TITLE OF ISSUE: City Hall Campus Landscape Improvements BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The master plan for the city hall renovation project included a "Phase III", which would make an interior connection between city hall and the fire station. Without this connection, there is no way for someone to walk between the front door of the fire station and the front door of city hall. At a minimum, this connection should be made with a sidewalk. A more comprehensive landscaping project in city hall's "front yard" (see attached sketch) could address some additional functionality issues, such as pedestrian access and safety, while also adding aesthetic value to the campus and Main Street. If the council is interested in pursuing the larger project, staff would solicit design-build proposals for consideration. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Rough estimates; $10,000 - $150,000, depending on the level of complexity. Excess Fund Balance (Gen.
