WHEREAS, it is necessary to demolish the buildings at 7071/7073 Centerville Road because <br />they are vacant and a blight, and present a nuisance and a potential danger to the pubic. Also, the <br />area has been designated for redevelopment pursuant to the City's Downtown Redevelopment <br />Master Plan. Time is of the essence to the City in order to go forward with the Downtown <br />Redevelopment Master Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND KNOWN TO ALL, that the City of <br />Centerville, pursuant to the authority granted by Minnesota Statue Section 420.041, subdivision <br />2, DOES AWARD AND GRANT the contract to perform the demolition services regarding <br />7071/7073 Centerville Road to RO-SO Contracting, Inc., under the terms, conditions, and <br />proposal received by the City on August 23, 2006, in a amount no greater than $67,500.00, and <br />under any further terms or conditions as required under law or ordinance, or by and through the <br />advice and desires of the City Administrator or City Attorney. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 23rd day of August, 2006. <br />Attest: <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />Mayor, Marya ra <br />-2- <br />
