City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 27, 2022 <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reported on several developments: Block 7 is noticeable missing from this <br />agenda, that the bids for homes and infrastructure were considerable higher than they were <br />anticipating. He stated that Centra Homes has remained in communication with staff and it was <br />anticipated that they would be coming back with a proposal. Centerville Elementary was nearing <br />completion with the Building Inspector completing an inspection today. Old Mill Estates with the <br />developer resolving some issues and staff attempting to resolve the trail issue with the property <br />owner. Centerville Storage was open but had additional items to take care of. He also reported that <br />Bayview Villas, Kwik Trip, Peterson Shores, Sutton, American Roofing Supply, Max Storage <br />grading & CUP and Amazon. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz thanked the Public Works Department for their work with the main well and <br />stated that Well #2 did well and the Lino Lakes interconnect was not needed. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Koski asked about the shoreline in Bayview Villas, how it was going to be fixed, if <br />there would be any damages to the residential property. Administrator Statz stated that he believes <br />that it has been completed with very little invasiveness. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br />a. Lakso - <br /> Parks & Recreation Î Council Member Lakso reported that there is a vacancy and <br />that they are diving into volunteer appreciation dinner. They are putting together a <br />list of volunteers for this past year and would be forwarding it shortly. She noted <br />that there have fewer volunteers this year than years past. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council Î Council Member Lakso stated that the <br />meeting would be the following evening. <br /> <br />b. Koski Î <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission Î Council Member Koski stated that two (2) <br />members resigned and that two (2) members were appointed. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission passed outside <br />storage regulations for residential areas which will be forwarded to Council for final <br />adoption shortly. <br />Fire Steering Committee Î Council Member Koski stated that there was a meeting <br />st <br />the previous evening and one (1) scheduled for the 21. He stated that they discussed <br />the budget, that the number of calls increased, the partnership with SBM was <br />working well and that he had an opportunity to meet members of the Board of SBM. <br /> <br />c. King Î <br /> <br /> Economic Development Authority Î Council Member King stated that a coffee shop <br />is interested in 1737 Main Street with a drive-through. He reported that Mr. Gregory <br />Rams Giles has been appointed to ACRED. He stated that the Center Stage Program <br />has been revised with offerings being video message on YouTube, Facebook, ads in <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />
