City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />June 21, 2022 <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report – Administrator Statz stated that he report was contained in <br />Council’s packet, that Amazon was closing shortly with all documents being recorded. He stated <br />that it was anticipated that construction would commence around July 4 on site. He thanked City <br />Attorney Glaser for being responsive while out of the country. He reported that it was anticipated <br />that Centra Homes (Block 7) would be coming before Council for final approval shortly. He <br />stated that there has been some difficulty work through the Federal Funding regulations regarding <br />ownership/rental and the affordable portion of the CDBG requirements. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis reported that emails were forwarded to local businesses <br />regarding procurement opportunities with Amazon. She stated that the email contained a link <br />where businesses could register, (www.supplierconnect.amazon.com). She also reported that she <br />continues to work with CivicPlus regarding the City’s website redesign. <br /> <br />Junior Council Member Peterson reported at the school is out. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Lakso - <br /> <br /> Parks & Recreation – Council Member Lakso gave no report. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member Lakso gave no <br />report. <br /> <br />b. Koski - <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that the <br />Commission met on June 7, had a lengthy discussion regarding population 5,000 <br />goals. He stated that it was the Commission’s desire to continue discussions <br />regarding the item going forward. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that the meeting would <br />be taking place on July 21, 2022. <br />c. King – <br /> <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> <br />d. Mosher - <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher stated that the <br />meeting was cancelled. <br /> Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Love - Mayor Love state that Ms. Lonni Olson and Centennial Lakes Police Officer <br />Steffen organized the first Scout bike ride for the summer.
