It does not represent all
system components located within your jurisdiction.
Following the 2014 Council adoption of the Chain of Lakes-Otter Lake Regional Trail Master Plan,
existing segments of the regional trail are now present in your community and are depicted on the
updated Regional Parks System Facilities in Your Community map (Figure 1). Look at Figure 1 which
shows green trail segments in Centerville, all of which appear to be existing, although the south segment
on Centerville Road is labeled “Existing (Not Open to Public)” whatever that means.
Existing and planned segments of the regional trail travel through Centerville and Lino Lakes as it
connects the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve, Central Anoka Regional Trail, and Bald Eagle-
Otter Lake Regional Park in White Bear Township.
I don’t see that this affects Centerville in any meaningful way that we need to do anything about, although any time there
is an official pronouncement like this it might be a good idea to confirm with our Met Council rep, Patrick Boylan. I know
Patrick (just hung out with him at the APAMN Planning conference last week). You or I could call him to discuss and make
sure there isn’t anything we need to do.
Phil Carlson
Associate
He/Him/His
Direct: 612 712-2028
Mobile: 612 202-6474
Phil.Carlson@stantec.com
Stantec
733 Marquette Ave S, Suite 1000
Minneapolis MN 55402
To help protect your privacy, Microsoft Office prevented automatic download of this picture from the Internet.
Stantec
The content of this email is the confidential property of Stantec and should not be copied, modified, retransmitted, or used for any purpose except with Stantec's written authorization.
If you are not the
intended recipient, please delete all copies and notify us immediately.
From:MarkStatz<MStatz@centervillemn.com>
Sent:Friday,September30,202211:33AM
1
