Memorandum <br /> <br /> <br />Date: October 20, 2022 <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council Members <br /> <br />From: Mark Statz, PE Î City Administrator/Engineer <br /> <br />Subject: Professional Services Request for Proposals <br /> <br />Attached to this memorandum is a draft policy outlining when, and for what services the <br />city will issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The policy also identifies desired contract <br />terms and allows flexibility and discretion by the council, while laying out a plan to add <br />consistency in the procurement of professional services. <br /> <br />As the policy mentions it would be best to stagger the timing of RFPs for various <br />services, so as not to stack the burden on staff in any particular year and to ensure a <br />continuity of operations. Therefore, city staff is suggesting the following schedule for <br />RFPs. <br /> <br /> 2023 (eff. 3/1/24) City Assessor (under contract thru 2/24) <br /> 2024 (eff. 7/1/24) City Auditor (under contract thru 6/24, for FY Ó23 audit) <br /> 2025 (eff. 1/1/26) City Attorney (no end date on contract) <br /> 2026 (eff. 1/1/27) City Planner (no end date; 1/27 start aligns w/comp plan) <br /> 2027 (eff. 1/1/28) City Engineer (no end date on contract) <br /> <br />Staff is open to discussion on a different order for the RFP schedule. <br /> <br />
