CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />October 26, 2022 <br />Administration/Planning <br />WS II.2 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Apartment Proposal - David Stradtman, Rachael Development <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />A prospective developer is interested in siting a 109-unit, market rate, apartment building on the vacant 4.2 <br />acres north of Norbella Senior Living. This proposal is similar to the 2021 proposal, but with several changes <br />aimed at addressing concerns heard during the 2021 public hearings on that project. Those changes include: <br />- Retail location designed into the exterior parking lot (drive-through coffee) <br />- New developer with experience building and developing apartments <br />- New Management Company with roots in rural and suburban communities <br />- Open to exploring options to "bury" the first floor, tuck-under parking. <br />David Stradtman, from Rachael Development will be on hand to present their proposal.
