Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />At their meeting on October 19, the EDA welcomed Chris Swenson <br />to the board as their newest member. Welcome Chris, we are happy to <br />have you join the EDA! <br /> <br />Upcoming EDA board Vacancy <br />The EDA is looking for volunteers to fill an upcoming vacancy. <br />Please contact city hall at 651-429-3232 with any questions. <br /> <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br />Centennial Fire District - Calendar of Events <br />th <br /> School Field Trip at Station 1 on October 25 <br /> Trunk or Treat Event at Centerville Elementary School on <br />October 29, 10-12, in Parking Lot <br />st <br /> Trick or Treat at Stations 1 and 3 on October 31 <br /> Christmas in the Park on December 10, 3-6 pm, Laurie LaMotte <br />Park <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Project Map <br />Staff has prepared a map of all active developments to help everyone get a better picture of whatÓs <br />happening around our community. The number you see at the heading of each item in this section <br />corresponds to a number on the map, which is attached to the end of this report. <br /> <br />(9) Block 7 Property (Downtown) <br />The city approved a purchase agreement with a developer (Schifsky Companies) who intends to build a <br />concept largely similar to the previous proposal from Centra Homes. They are completing some due <br />diligence work and will be looking to begin the zoning process soon. <br /> <br />stnd <br />(3)(4) Old Mill Estates 1 and 2 Additions <br />The developer has finished black dirt and seed work in boulevards and around ponds. They continue to <br />work to finalize wetland and other watershed permits. <br /> <br />Construction of the gravel base for the trail between Old Mill Court and Laramee Lane is now complete. <br />Concrete work will be completed in the spring to ensure the base has a chance to settle over the winter. <br /> <br />(16) Centerville Self Storage <br />The facility is now open for business. The developer has made progress to address drainage issues along <br />the north side of the facility and will continue to work on minor clean-up items. <br /> <br />(1) Bay View Villas (Waterworks Site) <br />The developerÓs landscaping crew has finished sod work near the cul-de-sac and has just a few items <br />from the punch list remaining. <br /> <br />(8) Atlas Villas Memory Care Project (1825 Main Street) <br />A Certificate of Occupancy was granted to the facility by the cityÓs building department. The <br />management company is working on their licensure, through the state and county, prior to opening their <br />doors. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
