CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />November 1, 2022 <br />Administration <br />IX.2.b <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />21st Avenue Apartment - Concept Plan <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />A concept plan for a 109-unit, market rate apartment building on the 5.3 acre site north of the new Norbella <br />Senior Living facility was presented to the City Council, recently, at a work session. This concept was largely <br />similar to a proposal from early 2021, which did not move forward. A small retail location in the front parking <br />lot of the building site was added (likely a coffee drive-thru). Additionally, the developer/builder and property <br />manager proposed this time would be different than the previous proposal. <br />The council heard this proposal during a work session only and provided informal feedback to the prospective <br />developer. No formal action was taken.
