OLD BUSINESS <br />1.Review of Designated No Parking Areas <br />Administrator Statz opened the discussion about designated no parking areas, noting that there is no <br />legal reason the city would need to designate no parking areas. Designated no parking areas are <br />typically adopted as a requirement of state aid highway and county aid highway funding that is <br />available in cities with populations over 5,000. The reason the P&Z is reviewing designated no <br />parking areas is because the city has designated no parking areas in the past; it’s also timely to <br />review these areas with the recent reconstruction of downtown.
