COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RES. #22- <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED, AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the 2022 Thin Mill & Overlay Project improving <br />roadways/streets: within the Hunter's Crossing 2" and 3rd Additions, Pheasant Marsh 1st, 2"d and <br />3' Additions, Dupre Road from Partridge Place to a point 200' north of Center Street and <br />Progress Road — north of Main Street) and the contract price for such improvement was $566,028. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br />The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is hereby declared to be <br />$454,423 including four (4) parcels of City owned property that contained assessments <br />totally $7,286.50. <br />2. Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of three <br />(3) years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday of <br />January, 2024 and shall bear interest at the rate of 5 percent per annum commencing <br />November 16, 2023. <br />3. The city clerk, with the assistance of the city engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper <br />amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece <br />or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided <br />by law, and she shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office for public <br />inspection. <br />4. The clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the council <br />thereof. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 14'h day of December, 2022. <br />Mayor D.
