AdministratorÓs Report <br />December 14, 2022 <br />____________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Parks Tree Inventory <br />The Committee is recommending to Council the approval of a tree inventory of open space within all parks <br />as a beginning phase to ascertain species, age and health of these trees. Rainbow Tree Care will complete <br />the work, which will also provide GIS/GPS data for each tree. This is the first phase of an overall inventory <br />of trees which will assist with a long-term sustainable tree plan. <br /> <br />First of Two Annual Skate/Sled Nights <br />The Committee is ready for the January 14, 2023 event and the Public Works <br />staff will be flooding the rinks as the weather turns colder. Skating, sledding, <br />hot coca, popcorn, sÓmores, a bonfire, snowshoeing, kick-sledding and some <br />contests for prizes will be taking place at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park that <br />evening. Wargo Nature Center will be providing the snowshoes and kick- <br />sleds that will be on site for use by participants. There are no fees associated <br />with this event; so bring a parent, friend, neighbor, etc. <br /> <br />Rink Attendants Wanted <br />The city is accepting applications for warming house attendants. Visit https://www.centervillemn.com/ to check it out. <br />The mobile app is being tested internally, and will be released very soon. <br /> <br />Veterans Day Ceremony <br />The city recently hosted a <br />Veterans Day Ceremony, on <br />November 9 from 5:00pm to <br />7:00pm at City Hall. <br />The event included a flag <br />ceremony, presentations by <br />the Beyond the Yellow <br />Ribbon Network and a <br />review of the veteransÓ <br />exhibit, hosted by Rebecca <br />Ebnet-Desens (pictured <br />above), from the Anoka <br />County Historical Society. <br />Meeting and City Hall Schedule <br /> January 2, 2023 Î City Hall Closed in observance of New YearÓs <br /> <br />
