§156.104TEMPORARYDWELLINGSANDSTRUCTURES. (A)Theuseandoccupancyof a temporary dwellingforthepurposeof living quarters is notpermitted inthecity,except: 1.A tent s •used for recreational purpose •rivate property containing a principal structure onap •with theconsent of theproperty owner 2.A recreational vehicle. •A recreational vehicle must be •ingood working order streets •licensed for use on public •rked on thePermitted Driveway pa •A recreational vehicle mustnot be: stst •occupied between November 1and March 31. (B)Permits Required: 1.Tents – No Permit Required 2.Recreational Vehicles – Apermit is required. These permits shall be issued through a self- service permit system or other such administrative process.Themaximum length of a permit(s)is 14 days, in aggregate, duringany given year, per parcel.Thepermit shall be conspicuouslydisplayed at all times. 3.wellings - Applications fortemporary dwellings shall bemade inwriting Other Temporary D totheAdministratoranditshall bethe Administrator'sduty tosubmit the applicationtothe CityCouncil atthenext regular meeting thereof. TheCityCouncilinits discretion shall grantordeny thepermit andmayrequire, as acondition to the grantingofthe permitorany renewalpermit,thattheapplicant appearinpersonbeforetheCityCouncil andbeexamined astohis orherplans for a permanentdwelling andother matters relative thereto. Permits shallinno event begranted fora period inexcess of90days.Attheexpiration ofthe 90-day period,theowneroroccupant ofanytrailersoplaceduponthepremisesinaccordwiththis sectionshall immediatelyremovethesame,unlesspriortotheexpiration ofthe90-day period,theowneroroccupant shallobtain from the City Council a renewal permit. Application therefore maybe madetothe Administratorasinthe case oforiginalpermits, andmustbe submitted totheCity Council priortothe expiration oftheoriginal 90-day period.One renewal permit maybegranted upongoodcauseshown, butinnoeventshall a renewal permitbegranted for a period inexcess of90days andnotmorethanone renewal permit shall be granted. (C)No money may be exchanged for the use of a property in association with a temporary dwelling. (D)Temporarystructuresandtrailersusedinconjunctionwithconstructionworkshallbepermittedonly duringtheperiodthattheconstruction workis in progress.Permitsfortemporarystructuresshallbe issued for a period not exceeding six months. (E)PursuanttoauthoritygrantedbyMinnesotaStatutes,Section462.3593,subdivision9,theCityof Centerville opts-out oftherequirements ofMinn. Stat. §462.3593, whichdefines andregulates Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings.
