§156.104TEMPORARYDWELLINGSANDSTRUCTURES. <br />(A)Theuseandoccupancyof a temporary dwellingforthepurposeof living quarters is notpermitted <br />inthecity,except: <br />1.A tent <br />s <br />•used for recreational purpose <br />•rivate property containing a principal structure <br />onap <br />•with theconsent of theproperty owner <br />2.A recreational vehicle. <br />•A recreational vehicle must be <br />•ingood working order <br /> streets <br />•licensed for use on public <br />•rked on thePermitted Driveway <br />pa <br />•A recreational vehicle mustnot be: <br />stst <br />•occupied between November 1and March 31. <br />(B)Permits Required: <br />1.Tents – No Permit Required <br />2.Recreational Vehicles – Apermit is required. These permits shall be issued through a self- <br />service permit system or other such administrative process.Themaximum length of a <br />permit(s)is 14 days, in aggregate, duringany given year, per parcel.Thepermit shall be <br />conspicuouslydisplayed at all times. <br />3.wellings - Applications fortemporary dwellings shall bemade inwriting <br />Other Temporary D <br />totheAdministratoranditshall bethe Administrator'sduty tosubmit the applicationtothe <br />CityCouncil atthenext regular meeting thereof. TheCityCouncilinits discretion shall <br />grantordeny thepermit andmayrequire, as acondition to the grantingofthe permitorany <br />renewalpermit,thattheapplicant appearinpersonbeforetheCityCouncil andbeexamined <br />astohis orherplans for a permanentdwelling andother matters relative thereto. Permits <br />shallinno event begranted fora period inexcess of90days.Attheexpiration ofthe 90-day <br />period,theowneroroccupant ofanytrailersoplaceduponthepremisesinaccordwiththis <br />sectionshall immediatelyremovethesame,unlesspriortotheexpiration ofthe90-day <br />period,theowneroroccupant shallobtain from the City Council a renewal permit. <br />Application therefore maybe madetothe Administratorasinthe case oforiginalpermits, <br />andmustbe submitted totheCity Council priortothe expiration oftheoriginal 90-day <br />period.One renewal permit maybegranted upongoodcauseshown, butinnoeventshall a <br />renewal permitbegranted for a period inexcess of90days andnotmorethanone renewal <br />permit shall be granted. <br />(C)No money may be exchanged for the use of a property in association with a temporary dwelling. <br />(D)Temporarystructuresandtrailersusedinconjunctionwithconstructionworkshallbepermittedonly <br />duringtheperiodthattheconstruction workis in progress.Permitsfortemporarystructuresshallbe <br />issued for a period not exceeding six months. <br />(E)PursuanttoauthoritygrantedbyMinnesotaStatutes,Section462.3593,subdivision9,theCityof <br />Centerville opts-out oftherequirements ofMinn. Stat. §462.3593, whichdefines andregulates <br />Temporary Family Health Care Dwellings. <br /> <br />
