CITY OF CENTERVILLEREQUEST <br />FOR ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: RequestedMeetingDate: <br />January 17, 2023 <br />Administration <br />VI.3 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Issue Discussion - Moratorium on Cannabis Sales <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />On August 24, 2022, the City Council passed a resolution, setting a moratorium on cannabis sales in the city. <br />The moratorium went into effect upon its publication on September 20, 2022. As with all moratoriums, the <br />maximum duration is one year. The intent is to use that time to study the issues and make any changes to city <br />code, prior to its expiration.
