<br />Page 4 <br />UPDATE ON DEVELOPMENTS <br />Block 7 Property <br />The City in negotiating an offer to purchase and develop the Block 7 property from Schifsky Com- <br />panies, Inc. utilizing similar plans to those proposed by Centra Homes. We anticipate a Preliminary <br />Plat Application along with a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Application in the near future. <br />NorBella <br />NorBella Senior Living has been issued their Certificate of Occupancy and has been actively marketing their <br />ÐBoutique Assisted Living & Memory CareÑ facility. If interested: 651-374-9202. <br />Kwik Trip <br />Construction continues with site utilities being installed and the building pad poured. Fuel Tanks are currently <br />being installed on site. Turn lane construction is occurring with other site work continuing in the coming <br />weeks. <br />Amazon <br />Grading and site utility work continues. Building construction will begin this fall with the site being fully op- <br />erational by August, 2023. <br />MATTRESS/BOX SPRING RECYCLING <br />FREE to Centerville Residents <br />The City has been offering this program to residents for approximately eight (8) months. <br />The program is working well and we are excited to assist residents in getting rid of diffi- <br />cult items and having the opportunity to keep these items out of the landfill. <br />If you have a mattress or box spring for recycling, contact: 651-792-7933 and arrange an appointment for <br />dropoff. We will accept them the first Tuesday of every month from 8:00 a.m.Ï12:00 p.m. When you con- <br />tact us for an appointment, we will give you directions to the drop off location. The dropoff location is in Cen- <br />terville with traveling distance being minimal. Please be aware that you will be expected to bag your mat- <br />tress/box spring in a provided bag and load into the trailer for storage. If you are alone and you do not believe <br />that you can accomplish this, bring a neighbor to assist you. There is a limit of six (6) items/resident. <br />If the hours of our acceptance do not fit your schedule, Green Lights Recycling/Reycle Technologies also ac- <br />cepts them. Please remember that we have coupons for four (4) free items here at City Hall in the vestibule if <br />you need them. There are only two (2) events left this year: September 10, 2022 & November 12, 2022 from 8 <br />a.m.Ï12 p.m. <br />Are you aware that at least 90% of your old mattress can be recycled? Foam, cotton and felt from the mattress <br />padding can be repurposed into carpet padding, steel from the metal springs can be melted and repurposed, <br />wood is sent to a chipper and repurposed to landscaping mulch and all of these items can be sold to buyers and <br />repurposed into new goods and products. Limit is up to three (3) <br />bankers boxes equivalent of paper per vehicle. No three-ring binders, credit <br />cards or CDs will be accepted. <br />
