CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />January 25, 2023 <br />Public Works <br />VII.5 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Fertilization and weed control for city properties <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />TruGreen has submitted a proposal to continue the fertilization and weed control program for Centerville in <br />2023 with a 6.5% increase. TruGeen has provided this service for the last 20+ years for the city. In 2019, we <br />sent out requests for bids and the only other submitter was 58% higher with 8% increases for years 2020 and <br />2021. Trugreen has not increased their price since 2019.
