CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />January 25, 2023 <br />Engineering <br />VIII.1 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Vacation of Easement at 1844 Old Mill Court <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />After much discussion and the exploration of many options, the homeowner at 1844 Old Mill Court elected to <br />move the retaining wall on his property to the east about 4 to 5 feet in an effort to move the development's trail <br />to the east, further from the home. With this move, it is appropriate for the easement to be moved as well. The <br />attached easement document shows both the existing and proposed easements. The Planning Commission held <br />a public hearing and is recommending approval of the vacation of the existing easement in lieu of a new, <br />recorded easement. <br />COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br />No cost to city.
