With that background discussion in mind, staff is proposing that we apply ARPA funding
towards:
1. Fund 409 — Capital Replacement ToolCat $77,202.49
2. Fund 452 — Street Reconstruction 2022 Thin Overlay $360,145.02
Total Funding $437,347.51
Staff is happy to discuss these and alternative proj ects with the council. The purpose of
this discussion is to let the City Council know that the annual reporting period is closing
as of March 31, 2023 and a report on annual activities is due in April. The ARPA
funding must be committed by December 31, 2024 and must be expended by December
31, 2026.
If the City Council accepts this recommendation from staff, we will bring back a
resolution to officially memorialize the decision. Then we can make the April report our
final report and close this process as most neighboring communities have.
Please remember that the fund balance in both the Capital Replacement Fund and the
Street Reconstruction Fund may be moved by resolution to any other place the council
desires.
