CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION, CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION AND MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 8, 2023 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City Council <br />Work Session, Closed Executive Session & Meeting on February 8, 2023 in Council Chambers of City <br />Hall and also live streamed by North Metro TV. <br />WORK SESSION MEETING <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor D. Love called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Council Member Steve King <br />Not Approved <br />Junior Council Member Rowan Shaw (Non -Voting) <br />ABSENT: None <br />STAFF: City Administrator, Mark Statz <br />Assistant City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br />City Attorney, Kurt Glaser <br />II. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br />1. Council Candidate Interviews: <br />a. 5:00 — Mr. Donald Anderson <br />Mr. Anderson introduced himself to the Council, gave a brief review of his experience/background and <br />answered the prescribed set of questions given to all candidates for the vacancy. <br />2. Discussion of Council Candidates <br />Discussion took place regarding the candidates and allowing additional time for additional candidates. <br />3. Refuse and Recycling Contract Extension — Republic Services <br />Ms. Bev Mathiasen, Municipal Services Manager - Republic Services, appeared before Council and <br />thanked them for the additional opportunity for further extension discussions. She stated that following <br />her previous appearance before Council, Republic Services and fine-tuned two (2) options for extension <br />proposals. She reviewed them as presented in the Council's packet. She stated that Republic Services is <br />highly competitive, have reviewed the markets and requested continued partnership for the next three (3) <br />years. <br />
